It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Clyde Roy Mathews Jr. of Ringgold, Georgia, who passed away on March 22, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Mathews and Dorothy Mathews; and his grandson Wesley Clyde Withers. He is survived by: his wife Carol Jean Mathews; his children, Penny Jean Iannazzo (Kerry) and Clyde "Kevin" Mathews (Michelle); his grandchildren, Grace Elizabeth Withers, Victoria Lynn Mathews, John Wesley Withers, Valetta Leigh Mathews and Nathan Paul Withers; and his sister Louise Smith Sparks.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Homes - Ringgold Chapel (443 Boynton Dr, Ringgold, GA 30736). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ringgold First Baptist Church (7611 Nashville St, Ringgold, GA 30736).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Building Fund at Ringgold First Baptist Church.
