It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Catherine Mergenthaler of Ringgold, Georgia, born in Dunmore, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 8, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Kelly and Mary Margaret Kelly; her husband Daniel H. Mergenthaler; her sister Ann Shoen; and her great grandchild Isis Dahl.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Mergenthaler, Jr., Erin Bunn (Gene), Kelly Fish (John), Thomas Mergenthaler (Dale), James Mergenthaler (Joni) and Eunice McNabb (Scott). She is also survived by sister Mary Ann Word, 22 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the food pantry at the Church of the Nativity or Hospice of Chattanooga.
