He was predeceased by: his parents, James William and Colleen Boyd Powell. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Powell; his daughters, Brooke Dodson (Drew Tapley) and Melanie Bagley (Scott); his stepson Noah Thornton; and his siblings, Clay Powell (Angie) and Jan Gordon (Rick).
