He was predeceased by: his parents, Cliford Monroe and Mary Harmon Monroe; and his siblings, Adelia Monroe Nichols, Llewyan "Sam" Monroe, Evelyn Monroe Montalbo, Richard Monroe and Joyce Monroe Lemmer.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Monroe; his brother Donald Monroe; and his sons, Dennis Monroe (Amy), Philip Monroe (Donna Woelfel), Gregory Monroe (Margaret Kennedy), Thomas Monroe and Kevin Monroe (Terri). He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces.
