He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Jordan Lowery and Minnie Edge Lowery; his wife Sarah Ann Durrence Lowery; his siblings, Harvey J. Lowery, Barbara Cooley (Jack), Joan Ketron (Jerry) and Linda Parker (Ken); and his grandsons, Jason Kicklighter and Justin Thompson-Garris.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Kicklighter (Therese), Karen Barber (William), Sharon Reichard (Jason) and Patrick Lowery (Heather); his sisters-in-law, Lou Andruzzi (Louie) and Linda Lowery; and his friend Neal Harden. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel (2460 GA-21, Rincon, GA 31326). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be given to Sun Care Hospice, 804 Towne Park Drive, Suite 200, Rincon, GA 31326.
