It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Zipperer Kessler of Rincon, Georgia, who passed away on July 5, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Gertrude Zipperer departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Gertrude Zipperer may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Gertrude Zipperer leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Barney Zipperer and Ella Lynch Zipperer; and her brothers, Norwood, Mallie and Monroe Zipperer.

She is survived by: her son Billy Kessler; her niece Patricia Groover; her nephew Lamon Zipperer; and her close friend Carolyn Warner.

“Ms Gertrude was one on the kindest ,gentel ladies I met .I met her in 1970 when my 2 kids and husband moved to Rincon.She was one of 5 ladies from St Johns church that visited us to welcome us to Rincon and we had only been here a week.MY relations with her grew over my many years with her and my children loved her at church ,sunday school and Rincon Elementary.To us she never changed.Was always loving ,kind and sweet.I will miss her but we have memories that last.may God keep her family close .”
