He was predeceased by: his wife Lena Belle Craven; his parents, Earl Lanier Downs and Mary Alice Duke Downs; his son Roy Craven; his great grandchild Mason Lane Craven; and his sister Gail Downs.
He is survived by: his son Danny Lanier Craven; his great grandchildren, Joseph Craven, Charles A. Craven and Peyton Sheffield; and his brother Richard Downs. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a multitude of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice, in honor of Charles's love for community and the outdoors.
