He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Carlton Colwell, Sr. and Grapelle England Colwell; his granddaughter Eileen Pham; and his brother Albert Carlton Colwell, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Gwen Colwell of Richmond Hill; his children, Gail Slater (Damian Halstad) of Westminster, MD, Laura McKay of Richmond Hill and Clark Colwell of Richmond Hill; his siblings, Max Colwell of Fletcher, NC. and Dottie Coltrane (Al) of Hoover, AL.; and his grandchildren, Justin Colwell of Frederick, MD, Amber Slater of Baltimore, MD, Logan Stewart (Georgina) of Pooler, Grant Slater (Ashley) of Westminster, MD and Evan Stewart (Grem) of Savannah. He is also survived by His wife, children and grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Christ (511 High Pl, Macon, GA 31201).
