He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gardner and Mary Gardner (Dees); his father-in-law Harold Smith; his siblings, Kenneth Gardner, Harry Gardner, Charlotte Gardner and Sandra Kay Gardner; his sister-in-law Rhonda Stepp; and his niece Jessica Butler.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Smith; his children, Billie Gardner, II (Shawn), Kathryn Gardner and Adrian Monroe (Derick); his grandchildren, Carolyn Freeman, Billie Gardner, III, Brittiny Gardner, Patrick Gardner, Skyler Gardner (Chrysta), Riley Gardner, Zoe Monroe and Jade Monroe; his siblings, Jim Gardner (Charlotte), Tom Gardner (Judy), Eddie Gardner, Raymond Gardner (Michelle), Ann Lambert and Mary Lou Brooks (Bob); his mother-in-law Helen Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Rocky Smith (Pat), Jerry Stepp and Glenda Gardner. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fort Custer National Cemetery (15501 W Dickman Rd, Augusta, MI 49012).
