She was predeceased by: her sister Carolyn Beall Gray; her husband Eric Newsom, Jr.; and her grandson Philip McKinley. She is survived by: her children, Eric Newsom, III of Corvallis and Caroline Newsom of Murphey; and her daughter-in-law Marjorie Newsom. She is also survived by five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
