He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Edwards Whatley and Mary Monk Whatley; and his siblings, Dr. Edwards Clayton Whatley, Clifford Wallace Whatley, Leonard Saunders Whatley and Mary Elizabeth Whatley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debbie Hyla (Bob) of Atlanta, GA and Donna Lindley (Charlie) of Carrollton, GA; his granddaughters, Katie and Madison Lindley of Atlanta; and his brother William Henry Whatley of Atlanta. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In light of current COVID-19 conditions and concerns, the family requests a socially distanced service.
