He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry B. Theus and Ethel Leona Duncan Theus; his sisters, Lena Evans and Helen McInvale; and his wife Ruby Joiner Theus.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Theus of Butler, Barbara Marcoux (Jim) of Griffin and Steve Theus (Samantha) of St. Simons Island; his grandchildren, Thomas, John, Knox, Isabella, Zachary, Cassie (Ben), Malachi (Lauressa), Patrick and MacKenzie (Lainey); his great grandchildren, Rhiley, Nolan, Nate, Gannon, Ella, Aura, Harrison, Fallyn, Daisy, Melina and Fiona; his brother Lamar Theus (Anne) of Butler; and his sister-in-law Linda Poole (Stan) of Ideal. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
