It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne Turner of Rex, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on August 16, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Richard, Robert and Deeann; her grandchildren, Angela, Rick Turner and Meredith Waddell; and her great grandchildren, Emma, Chance Wang, Grady, Hananiah, Judah Turner, Layna, Everly, Mari Desin, Maddy and Parker Seagle.
When Joanne's disease of Alzheimer's prevented her from speaking in recent years, she still enjoyed singing old church hymns and even when words were no longer present, the songs stayed in her heart and mind.
