He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth Smith. He is survived by: his mother JoAnn Holloway Smith of Rex; his sister Janice Smith of Rex; and his nephews, Donald Herbster of Griffin, Erik Herbster of Griffin and Karl Herbster of Griffin.

If so desired, in lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Georgia.
