He was predeceased by: his parents, Porter Maxwell and Lena Kephart Marcus; and his siblings, Johnny Marcus, Selma Sharp and Gertrude Mantooth.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Brock Marcus; his children, Rick (Kelli Marcus), Reverend Wayne (Tammy Marcus) and Darlene Marcus; his son-in-law Michael Allen of Resaca, GA; his siblings, Porter (Levelle Marcus), Ronnie (Ann Marcus), Moreen Brown of Kennesaw, GA, Betsy Kinsey of Rocky Face, GA and Catherine Kinsey of Chatsworth, GA; and his grandchildren, Andy Marcus, Tasha Scroggs, Noel Pauley, Jacob Allen, David Marcus and Brittany Dagnan. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; several nieces and nephew.
