He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Crews and Etta Crews; his wife Inez Crews; his son-in-law Jerry Cowart; his granddaughter Hannah Collins; and his siblings, Bell Murray, Nell Gore, Cleo Merritt, Helen Stripling, Loree Smith, Glenes Gay, Wilma Crews, Willie Mills, Ruby Hutcheson, Harvey Crews and Perry Crews.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda C. McCumber, Janice C. Cowart, Kenneth Crews (Debbie), Roger Crews (Joy), Melanie C. Lewis, David Crews (Phyllis), Pam C. Shuman (Glenn), Mark Crews (Marika), Tammy C. Collins (Billy) and Dean Crews; his grandchildren, Kelly McCumber, Brandy Crews, Shelly M. Watts, Lori C. Wright (Mark), Lance Cowart (Abbigail), Diana Wiginton, Chase Shuman (Caroline), Laura S. Adams (Luke), Caleb Crews, Lacy C. Martin (Austin), Dently Crews (Cari), Whitney C. Sapp (Chad), Ben Collins (Marisa), Dalton Crews (Katelyn) and Katie Collins; and his great grandchildren, Logan McCumber (Lacie), Haley Willis (Logan), Austin Lester, Parker Cox, Nicholas Wiginton, Gabe Cowart, Lane Watts, Nolan Wiginton, Devin Cowart, Pacey Watts, Lincoln Shuman, Ethan Stark, Hadley Adams, Collins Shuman, Weston Adams, Brooklyn Shuman, Camden Crews, Lucas Adams, Hayden Sapp, Dylan Crews and Grady Sapp. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
