She was predeceased by: her parents, Otha Johnson and Effie Westbury Johnson; her husband Marvin Claude Powell; and her siblings, Arthur Johnson, Otis Johnson, James Johnson, Mitchell Johnson, Freddie Johnson, Kathleen Harvey, Esilie Mosley and Betty Jean Wilson.
She is survived by: her sons, Robert (Lisa Powell), Randy Powell (Samantha) of Guyton and Ramon Powell (Sandy) of Lyons; her grandchildren, Amanda Jeffcoat (Blair), Dustin Powell, April Esquivel (Ricky) and Justin R. Taylor (Katie); and her great grandchildren, Ashlyn Jeffcoat, Jacob Esquivel, Waylon Taylor, Mason Taylor and Alaina Taylor. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial (124 Jordan St, Reidsville, GA 30453). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Reidsville Baptist Church (146 W Brazell St, Reidsville, GA 30453).
Memorials may be given to Tattnall CARES or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
