He is survived by: his children, Robin Rushing (Suzanne), Mark Rushing (Michelle) and Pam Cromley (Charley); his grandchildren, Kelly Mincey (Ricky), Shannon Rushing, Christopher Rushing, Ashley Douglas (John) and Sam Cromley (Madison); his great grandchildren, Miles, Ella, Aizen, John Knox, Maggie, Daniel and Patrick; his wife Wylene NeSmith Rushing; and his siblings-in-law, Rean Rushing, Willie NeSmith (Joyce) and Sandra Boswell. He is also survived by his children and their spouses; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nevils Crossroads Church (8351 Nevils Groveland Rd, Statesboro, GA 30458). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
