He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Dyer and Addie Mae Barksdale Dyer; and his siblings, Jerry Dyer and Jennine Smith. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Bowling Dyer; his children, Steve L. Dyer of Summerville, Gregory A. Dyer of Decatur, Nichole Fannin (Cole) of Carrollton and Darlene McRae (Tommy) of Summerville; his grandchildren, Dara, Deana McRae, Adalyn, Dalton, Dixon Fannin and Britt Carpenter; his sisters, Lisa Chandler (Jackie) and Marvaline Cook; his siblings-in-law, Shirley Grogan (Odis), Brenda Martineau, Dorothy Hutchins (Andy), Marlene Watwood and Dwight Bowling (Wanda); and his friend Earle Rainwater.
