She was predeceased by: her spouse Gaines 'Copelan Butler, Sr.; her parents, Christopher Thomas "Tabor" Smith and Winnie Davis Snellings Smith; and her siblings, Kathlene (Billy Trippe), Winnie Mae (Bob Fox), George (Virginia Smith), Julia (Lee Maples), Eleanor (Neil Wilson) and Julius (Alice Smith).
She is survived by: her children, Gaines Copelan, Jr., Susan Butler of Snellville, William Earl, Kathy Butler of Vidalia, Rebecca Diane B. and Dennis Moss of Elberton; her grandchildren, Debbie (Brett Siedschlag), Dana (BJ Moon), Kristen (Jonathan Ciaburri), Megan Butler, Mark Butler and Joni (Russ Ford); and her great grandchildren, Eva, Rebecca, Amy, Lucy and Elias. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Flowers are optional and contributions may be made in her memory to Eliam United Methodist Church or to Victory Baptist Church.
