It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Wayne Poss of Rayle, Georgia, who passed away on April 30, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Wayne Poss to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Millard Poss and Sallie Mae Sherrer Poss of Wilkes County, GA.; his wife Barbara Jean Wolfe Poss; his siblings, Charles Poss, Carlton "Pete" Poss, Grady Poss, Franklin Poss and Flora Poss Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Johnny Shedd, Buddy Smith, Janice Poss and Betty Poss.

He is survived by: his sisters, Kathryn Shedd and Peggy Walker (Johnnie); and his sister-in-law Marie Poss. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Flowers are accepted and contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 53 Perimeter Center E, Suite 100, Atlanta, GA 30346.
