He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Carl Thaxton and Pearl Palmer Thaxton; and his niece Carla Thaxton Brown. He is survived by: his wife Beth Bennett Thaxton; his brother Thomas C. Thaxton (Fran); his children, Jason Thaxton (Libby) and Elise Thaxton Kusiak (Scott); his grandchildren, Heather Thaxton Stanley (Duston), Ethan R. Thaxton (Blair), Audrey Thaxton, Zack Kusiak, Regan Kusiak and Jackson Kusiak; his great grandchild Claire Stanley; and his niece Charlotte Bradford Welsh.
