It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Earle Philyaw Jones of Rayle, Georgia, born in Kinston, North Carolina, who passed away on December 1, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Philyaw and Frances Hill Philyaw; and her brothers, Gilbert Philyaw and Kevin Philyaw. She is survived by: her daughters, Gwen Jones Winfrey (Jeff) of Rayle and Jackie Jones Smith (Chip) of Hickory; her grandchildren, Jessica Albritton (Eric), Lori Hall (Will Wray), Alicia Kirk and Arrington Nevitt (Brad); her great grandchildren, Natalie, Kyle, Kaiden, Addisyn and Keegan; and her siblings, Gail Mitchell, Mike Philyaw, Kim Brinson and Terri Philyaw.
