He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Cooper and Ruby Bristol Cooper; and his grandson Drake. He is survived by: his children, Darren Cooper (Michelle) of Nashville, Derrick Cooper of Nashville, Georgia and Danielle Boggs (Nathan) of Hahira, Georgia; his grandchildren, Joel, Maycie, Wyatt, Kameron, Leland, Heidi, Kayden and Aubree; his brother Steven Cooper (Erica) of Valdosta, Georgia; and his close friend Kitty McCrory of Boston, Georgia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Music Funeral Services - Lakeland (88 W Main St, Lakeland, GA 31635). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at the Beaver Dam Cemetery (457 Pauline Ave, Ray City, GA 31645).
