He was predeceased by: his close friend Karen Short; his parents, George Sly and Edith Sly; his siblings, Harold Sly, Lillian Bell, Beverly Schlink, Marian Sly and Georgia Sly; his nieces, Debbie Schultz, Diana Schultz-Hill and Pamela Hartenberger; his nephew Peter Schlink; and his pet Fluffy.
He is survived by: his close friend Gene Snyder of South Beloit, IL; his children, Sonya, Georgia (Tim), Dan (Jean Sly), Jef (Julia Sly) and Timothy Sly; his grandchildren, Dr. Andrea Brockman of Lewisburg, PA, Nathan Oropeza of Sunbury, PA, Laura, Major Jere Johnson of Mililani, HI, Joshua Oropeza of Valdosta, GA, Ryan Sly of Nashville, GA, Jay Ping Sly of South Beloit, IL, Tara Sly of Valdosta, GA, Tina Sly of Valdosta, GA, Jeferey Sly of Ashburn, GA, Christina Dunn of Beloit, WI, Ryan Scott, James Scott and Alicia Guitierrez; his sister-in-law Patricia Sly (Beloit); his extended family Annie Johnson; and also, Rachel Cox, Emily Johnson and John Short. He is also survived by 11 Great Grandchildren, many nieces, nephews & cousins.
