He is survived by: his wife Connie Shearl of Ray City, Georgia; his children, Jennifer Hartshorne (Don) of Tallahassee, Florida, Amanda Merritt (Jay) of Leesburg, Georgia and Aaron Shearl (Becky) of Douglas, Georgia; his grandchildren, Leah Hartshorne, Maddy Hartshorne, Dalton Merritt, Annabelle Merritt, Eli Shearl, Abby Shearl and Will Shearl; his siblings, Mike Shearl (Delita) of Timberlake and Cathy Purvis of Nashville, Georgia; his mother-in-law Helen Dingman of Ray City, Georgia; and his siblings-in-law, Cathy Gillman of Topeka, Kansas, Chris Dingman of Nashville, Tennessee and Carolyn Brady of Ray City, Georgia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
