He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Jean Mullis Carter and David Ellis Carter, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Holton Carter of Ray City, Georgia; his daughters, Sally LeAnn C. Weiss (Rob) of Philadelphia and Lindsey Ellyn C. Peterson (Josh) of Branford, Florida; his grandchildren, Sophie, Jacob, Eli and Case; and his siblings, Mike Carter (Patricia) of Fort Pierce, Florida and Mary Beth C. Brackett (Douglas) of Blairsville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in David's memory to First Baptist Church of Ray City or Hospice of South Georgia.
