He was predeceased by: his father Floyd Petty; and his siblings, Doyle Petty (Travis) and Priscilla Elaine Petty. He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Petty; his children, Richard Petty (Valinda), Thomas Aaron Petty (Renae) and Tammy Renae Petty; his siblings, Floyd W. Petty (Loretta), Rev. Dennis Petty (Amelia) and Joan Moore (Clarence); his grandchildren, Marshall, Montana, Brittany (Aaron) and Augusts; and his great grandchildren, Sophia, Amelia and Stetson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
