He is survived by: his wife Nancy Croft Ponder; his children, Tonya Thompson of Jasper, GA, Amanda Ponder of Woodstock, GA and Michael Vester Ponder, Jr. of Ranger, GA; his grandchildren, Brent Thompson, Blake Thompson, Chasity Ponder and T. J. Ponder; and his great grandchildren, Jaylenn Thompson and Danny Thompson.
