He was predeceased by: his father John McMullen; and his daughter Rachel Chastain. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Gandy; his children, James Gandy II (Caren), John David Gandy (Jourdan) and Amy Naso (Nick); his son-in-law John Chastain; his siblings, John McMullen Gandy III (Patti) and Mary Ellen Broome (David); his grandchildren, Nicholas Naso, Tommy Naso, Jacob Gandy, David Gandy, Allison Chastain, Eleanor Gandy and Benjamin Gandy; and his son Rev. Donald Broadhurst.
