He is survived by: his wife Linda Martin Nelson; his children, Edward Allen Nelson Jr., Tamara Chastain (Keith) and Tanya Gowens (Edward); his siblings, Martin Nelson, Harry Nelson (Polly), Charlie Nelson, Jack Nelson (Connie), Annette Holden (Brian), Melodie Holland (Terry), Elizabeth Pullen and Elaine Mallett (Roger Lyes); his grandchildren, Justin Nelson (Nicole), Josh Tatum, Jared Nelson, Malley Chastain, Mason Chastain, Nicholas Nelson, Emily Nelson, Katelyn Nelson, Haley Nelson and Aaron Nelson; and his great grandchildren, Jacob Nelson, James Nelson, Savannah Nelson, Lincoln Nelson and Nova Nelson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
