It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Byron Rex Mahan of Ranger, Georgia, born in Fairmount, Georgia, who passed away on December 21, 2020, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Noble Clyde and Mary Reathel Higdon Mahan; his son Byron Adam "Bub" Mahan; and his brothers, Gene Mahan and David Mahan.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Childers Mahan; his son Josh; his daughter-in-law Kara Mahan of Ranger, GA; his grandchildren, Joshua Adam "Jake" Mahan, Ashley Mahan, Joseph Mahan, Cainan Lane Mahan and Keagan Mathews; his great grandchildren, Christopher Mahan, Ryan Mahan, Kayla Fuller and Adam Cochran; his siblings, Larry (Myona Mahan), Matt Mahan of Canton, GA, Sheila (Dean Holt), Kathy Childers of Calhoun, GA and Brenda (Douglas McDaniel); and his nephew Brent McDaniel. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
The family request no food be brought to the funeral home and in lieu of flowers donations be made to the funeral home.
