Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved William Bowyer Handley of Rabun Gap, Georgia, born in Huntington, West Virginia, who passed away at the age of 99, on November 12, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Love Handley and Heloise Bowyer Handley Tolbert; his wife Martha Alice Williamson Handley; his brother Robert Handley Tolbert; his sister-in-law Margaret E. Tolbert; and his nephew Robert Arthur "Rip" Tolbert.
He is survived by: his daughters, Heloise (Chuck Wilson), Lynn Handley (Bruce Taylor) and Julia (Bill McEntire); his grandchildren, Caroline, Jared Steinberg of Cumming, GA, Lily, Joshua Killingsworth of Manhattan, NY, Tyler, Hannah McEntire of Lula, GA, Seth and Madeline McEntire of Smyrna, GA; his great grandchildren, Piper Steinberg and Luke McEntire; and his sister-in-law Lillie Williamson of Mountain City, GA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, & a host of friends.
The Handley family requests that those present for the visitation & funeral observe all guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control for social distancing regarding Covid-19.
