He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Powers and Helen Thorton Powers. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Powers of Rabun Gap, Georgia; his children, Jon Powers (Melanie) of Tequesta, Florida, Rochelle Powers of Hobe Sound, Gina Cella (Steve) of Stuart, Katrina Corvino of Dover and Cindie Figgatt (Chris) of Thurmont, Maryland; his sister Polly Allard of Palmetto, Florida; and his grandchildren, Christopher Kruger, Ashley Zeigler, Mallory Corvino, Ryan Corvino, Nick Figgatt and Tyler Figgatt. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Rabun Paws 4Life 261 Boen Creek Rd, Tiger, GA 30576 in memory of Robert James Powers.
