He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Lula Jo; his daughters, Teresa Gentry (John) of Cartersville, Sheri Hooper (Mike) of Clayton, Sandra Thurmond and Laura Thurmond of Rabun Gap; his grandchildren, Will Gentry of Atlanta and Eryn Gentry of Cartersville; his siblings-in-law, Tom Pressley and Gail Thurmond; his parents, Clarence Thurmond and Ann Thurmond; and his siblings, Annette Pressley and Harold Thurmond. He was also cherished by Numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
