It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Sue Thurmond (Rabun Gap, Georgia), who passed away on January 17, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvie D. and Emma Sue; her son Matthew Thurmond; and her grandson Casey Thurmond. She is survived by: her husband Charles Thurmond of Rabun Gap, GA; and her sons, Charles Christopher Thurmond (Marly) of Rabun Gap, GA. and Eric Clifford Thurmond (Jennifer) of Commerce, GA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
