It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Pulliam Thurmond of Rabun Gap, Georgia, born in Elberton, Georgia, who passed away on October 19, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Robert Pulliam and Lillian Hewell Pulliam; her husband Robert Hugh Thurmond; and her siblings, William Robert Pulliam Jr., Benjamin Pulliam, Ralph Pulliam, Lucy Emma Mize, Lillian Julia Hildebrand and LouVeen Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Thurmond Keelan (Michael Vaughan) and Stephen Robert Thurmond; her grandchildren, Leah Thurmond Smith (Paul) and Brendan Hugh Keelan (Cara); and her great grandchildren, Sophie Gwen Smith and William Holton Hugh Keelan.
