It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Debbie Jane Hunnicutt of Rabun Gap, Georgia, born in Liberty, New York, who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay Elwood Cross and Reatha Irene Benton; her uncle William; her aunt Dolly E Hurch; her former husband George James Swartwout, Sr.; and her sister Julie Caruso.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry L. Hunnicutt of Tiger; her daughters, Jayne Cross of Rabun Gap and Tammy Mitchell of New York; her granddaughter Sarah Cross of Rabun Gap; her daughter Jody McGonigle of New York; and her siblings, Nancy Hosier of New York, Kate Brown (Roger) of New York, Dolly Butler (Frederick) of Georgia, Mary Lewis (Albert) of Arizona, Lisa Papadopoulos (Theo) of New York, William Arthur Hurch (Darrin) of New York and Frederick Hurch (Christine) of New York. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
