He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Newell; his daughter Sue Ellen Newell; and his siblings, Alma Mason, Honorene Callaway, Austin Newell and Clarence Newell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Moore of Carrollton, GA. and Debra Ley (Billy) of Quitman; his grandchildren, Melissa Moore (Jason), Donna McCoy (Scott), Dawn Johnson (Frankie) and Annette Adams; and his husband Butch Adams. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
