He was predeceased by: his father W. Ray Simpson; and his brother Norman Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Lunette Coody Simpson of Quitman; his daughters, Tina Simpson Cox of Quitman and Lita Dawn Simpson; his granddaughters, Theresa Lee Cox Duncil (Jeff Duncil) and Tara Lynn Cox of Quitman; his great grandchild Waylon Cox; his siblings-in-law, Vanelle Williams of Quitman, Jeanette Cooper of Evans Ga, Kay Coody, Ronald Coody of Quitman and Bruce Roberts of Valdosta; and his friend Wallace Turner of Quitman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
