She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Griffin and Marie Griffin; her husband John Sheffield; and her siblings, Charlotte Griffin Terrell, Willie Griffin Long, Wade Griffin and Steed Griffin.
She is survived by: her children, Susan, Chuck Steel of Valdosta, Betty, Wayne Cox of Monroe, Johnny and Teresa Sheffield of Hahira; her grandchildren, Adam, Nicole Steel, Elizabeth, Chris Milstead, Brandi, Lee Howell, Brent, Kathryn Cox, Aldyn and Brandon Sires; her great grandchildren, Gwyneth Steel, Shelby Steel, Bennett Steel, Georgia Grace Milstead, Dallas Howell, Dalton Howell, Jack Cox, Annie Cox, Smith Sires and Grey Sires; and her sister-in-law Ellen Griffin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
