She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph B. Casteloes and Hulda Casteloes; her brothers, J. G. Casteloes, Edward Casteloes, Sr., Don Casteloes, Willie Casteloes and Raymond Snipes; and her granddaughter Mary Margaret Pickels.
She is survived by: her husband Howard B. Pickels; her children, Karen Hiers (Sammy) of Quitman and Anthony Pickels (Krista) of Ochlocknee, GA; and her grandchildren, Savanna Pickels (Jazzi) of Quitman and Traci-Ann Pickels of Quitman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
