It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maerentha Williams (Quitman, Georgia), born in Boston, Georgia, who passed away on September 6, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Lee and Cora Lee Tim Williams; and her siblings, Archie Lee Williams Jr., Billy J. Williams, Clifford Williams and Shirley Williams Burke.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Lane; her children, Tracy L. Winder (Jessie) of Stone Mountain, GA, Robert A. Lane "Tony" (Tamara) of Quitman, GA and Creshendra J. Rigney "Jan" (Gyrone) of McDonough, GA; her grandchildren, Marco Lane, Roberto Hecksher, T. Rae Burton and Taya Burton; her sisters, Barbara Hayes of Stone Mountain, GA, Carolyn Williams (Jesse) of Boston, GA, Merilyn Williams of Stockbridge, GA and Eleanor Spencer (Larry) of Quitman, GA; her niece Catherine Williams (Willis); and her siblings-in-law, Alice Williams of Decatur, GA, Willie C. Lane, Ulysses Lane, Johnny Lane (Lucille), Edward Lane and Claude Lane (JoAnn). She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Public viewing will be Friday, September 11, 2020, 10:00 a. m. to 8:00 p. m. All those who wish to pay their respect in person must wear a mask during visitation and at the gravesite.
