He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Jamerson and Virginia Pope Jamerson; his daughter Chelsea Lewis; and his sisters, Edna Marie Johnson and Claudine McBride.

He is survived by: his sisters, Ernestine Bateman of Quitman, Helen Peach of Moultrie, Carolyn Graham of Quitman and Emma Jean Pitts of Monticello. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
