He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry James and Eunice Murial Thompson Kearse; his son Danny Kearse; and his great grandchildren, Chris Haineault and A. J. Haineault.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Kearse of Quitman, GA; his children, Steven Haineault (Karen) of Quitman, GA, Jackie, Jerry Haineault (Jackie) of Morven, GA, Judy Smith (Billy Wayne) of Morven, GA, Mark Haineault of Quitman, GA and Lyn Brown (Jim) of Coy, AL; his grandchildren, Steven, Angela, Amanda, Michele, Brandon, Jeffrey, B. J., Bryan, Jennifer, Christy and Ashley; his brother Freddy (Kathy); his nephew Jeremy Kearse of Morven, GA; and his siblings, Baby and Barbara Lane of Hahira, GA. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
