She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruce Huffmaster and Louise Bradford Huffmaster; and her husband Wilmer Wheeler. She is survived by: her sons, Billy Wheeler (Betsy), Tom Wheeler and David Wheeler (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Zach Wheeler, Sam Wheeler, Callie Wheeler, Alivia Wheeler, Hailey Clark, J. W. Wheeler and Madison Wheeler; her great grandchild Paisley Wheeler; her sisters, Geraldine Peters (Earl) and Betty Elsberry (Dewey); her brothers-in-law, Ricky Wheeler (Ineda) and Kenneth Wells; and her caregivers, Belinda Wheeler, Sheree Everett, Sharon Sutton, Tracey Lester, Sara Yawn, Patrina Giddens, Betty Jean Patterson and Linda Giles.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Maxwell - Purvis Funeral Home (908 N Court St, Quitman, GA 31643). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Quitman First Baptist Church (509 W Screven St, Quitman, GA 31643).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made by donating to the Goizueta Alzheimer's Disease Center (GADRC) at Emory University.
