We are sad to announce that on August 30, 2023, at the age of 79, George Robert Johnson of Quitman, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Major Jackson Johnson and Mamie Ruth Newton Johnson; and his grandfather George W. Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Gail Johnson of Quitman; his children, Kelly Brown (Jake) of Hastings, FL and Byron Johnson of Quitman; his granddaughters, Maddie Grace Brown and Morgan Abigail Brown; his siblings, Gene Johnson (Ann) of Lake Park, Herman Johnson (Phyllis) of Valdosta, Fulton Johnson (Prudence) of Lakeland, FL and Lisa Maroney (Mike) of Castleberry, FL; his cousin Dorma Ruth Spiller (Glenn) of Quitman; and his siblings-in-law, Robert E. "Bob" Godwin (Judy) and Beverly Godwin of Quitman. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
