He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Pickels and Annie Bell Pickels; and his sisters, Lucille Barricklow and Linda Rice. He is survived by: his wife Ola Pickels; and his brothers, Alvan Jerrel Pickels (Charlotte) of Quincy, FL and Howard Pickels of Quitman, GA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
