It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barry Owens of Quitman, Georgia, born in Haysi, Virginia, who passed away on April 12, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Garmon Owens; his brothers, Johnny Lee Owens and Mark Owens; and his stepfather T. B. Ellerbee. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Dixon Owens of Quitman; and his stepbrothers, Greg Ellerbee of Atlanta and Al Ellerbee of Ashburn. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
