She was predeceased by: her father Sims Brightwell; her husband Millard Kennedy; her son Daniel Kennedy; and her siblings, Mattie Belle Reid and Wade Brightwell.
She is survived by: her sons, Steve Kennedy (Chlotile) of Preston Georgia and James Roger "Jimmy" Kennedy (Sam Fogarty). She is also survived by four grandchildren, multiple great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
